Training and Instruction:

My focus is to impart a clear understanding
of the horse’s balance and
the basic elements required to maintain, correct
and improve it. Most
problems concerning the quality of the work
are balance related. Such
problems can be corrected or even avoided
through a clearer
understanding of the rider’s aids and their
application.

Educating the rider on the half halt
between gaits as well as within the
gaits can be very beneficial to both
horse and rider. The rider needs to
know how the half halts vary as
well as how to train them and
evaluate their success.
Riding dressage is a learning process.
How ever impressive the upper level
movements appear, dressage is really
very basic and not complicated at all.
The rider’s control of the horse’s
rhythm, submission and impulsion
will enable a smooth progression
up the levels.
